Our ability to reach our goals is only possible thanks to the commitment and persistent efforts of our amazing staff and volunteers. So if you are wish to spare some time, and provide some skills and knowledge to support humanitarian and development work in any way, we shall gladly welcome you at SELF.

Volunteering with SELF is a meaningful way to help some of Cameroon’s most vulnerable child, youths, families, and communities; as well as it is an opportunity for the volunteers to give back, learn new skills, gain valuable work experience, make a real difference, develop and enjoy new experiences, share what they know, and become part of the world’s humanitarian network striving to put a sustainable smile on the faces of the less privileged.

Our volunteer opportunities range from website administration and management, capacity building in NGO management, training of youths in basic business management skills, grants writing, local fundraising, online or crowdfunding, data collection, etc… We are also open to any innovations that potential volunteers may propose to enhance our services.
Our volunteer opportunities are both on-site and online/virtual; and open to everyone, from all backgrounds from 18 years and above, who is friendly and enthusiastic about what we do. Whoever you are and however you choose to volunteer, we shall be very grateful to have you as part of the dynamic team coming together to transform the lives of disadvantaged persons and communities.

Assisting, empowering, and holistically transforming the lives of disadvantaged persons in Cameroon so that they can live independently with dignity and self-esteem and become active and productive members in the sustainable development of their local communities… as well as be an inspiration to others is the work of many.

To pursue this mission, meet the needs of the disadvantaged persons we serve, and ensure that no one is left behind, SELF is committed to working with a wide range of partners including Municipal Councils, Government agencies, CBOs, Educators, Religious and Traditional Authorities, Micro-financial Houses, Corporations, Health Centers, International Organizations, and other local and national Civil Society Organizations.

This partnership could be long-term or short-tern; it could be implemented through funding a program or working collaboratively with us to solve a specific issue that the disadvantaged persons we work with to uplift their dignity are facing.
