Education for All: Making dreams a reality for over 200 children in Cameroon

At SELF, supporting education is one of our most important priorities. We believe that education is an invaluable investment in the future of underprivileged and vulnerable, as well as a means of protecting these children and their families from resorting to negative coping mechanisms such as child labor, prostitution, stealing, and early marriage, among others.

This 2023/2024 academic year SELF has provided educational support to over 200 internally displaced children and other vulnerable children from very economically challenged backgrounds in Cameroon to go back to school with dignity and self-esteem.

This educational support that has been in form of school fees and grade-appropriate school materials to individual beneficiary children; and didactic materials to schools in dire need is expected to go a long way to enhance the teaching/learning process and enable the children to pursue their dream careers as their privileged peers.

Moreover our staffs regularly follow-up and coach our beneficiary school children in order to ensure that they are learning effectively and also identify their educational challenges and seek possible solutions.
