Empowering Women Through Entrepreneurship – A Powerful Step Forward in Cameroon!

On June 20th, 2025, we proudly launched a women’s empowerment initiative in Nkolmesseng, Yaoundé. With the support of Vincent and Friends, the Saika Elisabeth Foundation (SELF) has empowered five determined women through training, mentoring, and material aid to start or grow their micro-businesses.

Our Mission

Our mission is to equip women with practical knowledge, financial resources in the form of goods, and mentoring to build sustainable livelihoods. The areas of focus included tailoring, fruit selling, pastries, and juice vending.

Training Content

The training covered essential topics such as:

• Business planning

• Budgeting

• Customer service

• Record keeping

All sessions were delivered in a relatable, hands-on format and in Pidgin English to ensure full understanding.

Outcomes

The key highlights included:

• Honest and inspiring exchanges among participants

• A significant boost in confidence in managing their businesses

• A strong desire for continuous learning and mentorship
