Insights to the WINGS Project

The Saika-Elisabeth-Stiftung (SELF) is proud to announce the success of its WINGS (Women in Growth and Sustainability) Project in Yaounde. This initiative was designed to equip women with the skills and resources needed to become self-reliant entrepreneurs. By providing five women in the Nkolmesseng neighborhood with comprehensive training, essential business tools, and startup goods, we have helped turn their dreams of business ownership into reality.

These five women are now running their own businesses, a significant step that allows them to provide for their families and support their children’s education. Beyond the economic impact, the project has also created a ripple effect in the community, as these women have become inspiring role models for their peers. The success of the WINGS Project reinforces our core belief in helping people help themselves and highlights the profound impact that investing in women can have on the entire community.

The success of the WINGS (Women in Growth and Sustainability) Project would not have been possible without the generous support of the Vincent and Friends Association. Their funding enabled us to provide comprehensive training and startup support.
